Are you addicted to social communities / social networks?
No, not really. I don't have a Tumblr or Twitter, actually. I check my Facebook once a day, if I remember to check it all. I used to be addicted to it, but I think since they've started doing all those huge changes in the past few months, I've really lost the urge to be on Facebook a lot since it's so confusing to use at times.

Would you rather give up TV or the Internet?
Oh, geez. Honestly, neither. I can't really watch my shows on the Internet because it really gives me a headache. I mean, if I miss an episode of a show I love and the DVR forgot to record, I'll watch it online--if it's available--but it really gives me a headache. I guess it has to do with the size of the monitor or the sound quality, but it just gives me a splitting headache. I love my Internet way too much too.

Do you listen to the radio -- which stations?
Yes, I do when I'm in the car. I can't remember the stations at the moment as I never really pay attention to them! We switch between a classical station and a variety pop/rock channel.

Do you read newspapers or magazines?
Yes, but I'm not subscribed to any. I read Better Homes & Garden when I see one that interests me. I'm not into beauty magazines since I've found that blogs are usually 3 months ahead of magazines with what interests me most (nail polish!)

Do you place great importance on your cellphone?
Um, no. If it texts, takes decent photos and makes calls, I'm generally okay. For those of you who want to know, I have a purple LG Chocolate.

Do you have a notebook / tablet PC?
No.

What are your favorite books?
Don't have one. Most books I read become favorites for awhile and go on the shelf of "I love..." (especially the ones I buy.) I love way too many books to have a favorite.

Would you rather give up books or movies?
Oh God. I'd pick *cringes* movies. I love my movies, but I love my books more. I read over 100 books a year!

What are your favorite TV series?
House, M.D. Criminal Minds (I <3 Spencer Reid), Grey's Anatomy, Intervention, Hoarders, Dogs 101, It's Me or the Dog, Once Upon a Time is quickly becoming a favorite. I have a few others, but those are the main ones.

Would you rather stay in and watch a DVD or go out to see a movie?
Stay in and watch a DVD.

Probably a drama.

This is a tag from my friend, Siobhan (LaDollyVita33), on YT about long hair and hair care. Since I'm not allowed to do video except under certain restrictions (thank you, dear old Dad), I turned it into a blog post. Happy reading, Siobhan!

1 What is your natural hair type, color and length?
My natural hair type is fine, smooth and I have a ton of it. It's pretty much stick straight, but I have a little bit of a wave towards the ends. It's also pretty fragile to I don't use heating tools, teasing it is pretty much out of the question and using a straight edge razor to cut in layers is out of the question (my hair is really damaged at the moment from said razor. It's finally long enough for said damage to be removed.) My natural hair color is a really dark chocolate brown (it hasn't been colored in years, so the color you see in my FB is my natural hair color) and it's layered so my longest layer is an 1.5 inches above my bra in the back (right below my shoulder blade) and the shortest hits around the middle of my neck which drives me nuts (didn't ask for it there. It does not fit in my one sided braids!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!)

2 Tell us about your haircut. Do you cut it yourself or go to a salon? How many layers do you have?
My haircut currently is a medium-long classic layered cut with bangs the shorter in the front and longer around my temples (they blend into my cut.) All of my layers (front and back) are maintained with scissors; I go to a professional salon (Ulta.) My hair is far too fragile for a razor; my hair actually shreds with a razor. I won't bore you with my last visit as it wasn't pretty. My hair in front have gradated layers; the back of my head has three layers, if I remember correctly. I do know I have fewer back layers than front layers. My hair is pretty flat, so the layers put a little bit of volume in my hair and create dimension on my oval face and long neck. The bangs hide my high German forehead that I'm sensitive about. I used to be pretty sensitive about my long neck, so the layers have an added bonus of covering that as well on my bad days.

3 What hair brush or combs do you use?
I use a Conair oval brush with plastic bristles with balls on the ends. I tend to switch between the Gel Grips and the Smooth Operator oval brush as they feel the most comfortable in my hand, follow the contour of my head, and they don't bother my hypersensitive head. I hate the square ones and those with natural hairs. Natural hair, as good as it is for your hair, scratches up the skin on my scalp generally and square ones tend to be too heavy for my weak wrists. The round ones that you use to dry your hair with a hair dryer get twisted in my hair far too easily (and they pull like none other!!!!!!) I'm insanely picky about my brush. My brushes last about 2-3 years and then I need a new one (like now.) It's not that they aren't built sturdily--they are--I just use my brush a whole lot! It gets a whole lot of abuse. It's not uncommon for me to drop my brush 20 times a day. It does live on a precarious spot on my dresser.

Comb wise, I have your basic combs. I have the two-side plastic comb in two sizes, a plastic wide-toothed comb (in the shower) and a plastic rat tail. I don't use combs much as they hurt my head. I mainly use a comb to dig out my bangs after a shower. or to separate my hair for braids.

4 Favorite hair accessory? Where did it come from?
My flower bobbies from gardensofwhimsy Mine are in blue and purple. Love 'em.

5 What is your favorite way to wear your hair?
Braids or a ponytail. My hair has got to be off my face or it drives me bananas.

6 Favorite shampoo and conditioner?
Currently, Aussie Cleanse and Mend Shampoo and Conditioner. I might be switching to Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Oil s & c. Depends on how I feel. I do extremely love the 3-Minute Deeeep from Aussie. That stuff is a godly deep conditioner.

7 Favorite hair oil, leave in conditioner, detangler, etc.?
I love the Aussie hair insurance. It smells good (but doesn't cause migraines with me) and works like a champ. Cheap too!

8 Do you wash your hair everyday?
Yes. You don't even want to know what my hair is like a day without washing. It's, well, you don't want to know.

9 How do you wear your hair to bed?
Down...and a teensy bit wet. I wash my hair at night. :)

10 Do you use heat tools like a hair dryer, straightener or curling iron? How often?
Yes. Rarely. At most, once a week.

11 What are your two favorite hair tips?
1. Be gentle! 2. They are many other ways to wear your hair than attacking it with a flat iron, hair dryer, curling iron, etc. Braids, buns, twists, pin curls, etc. Sometimes the greatest way of getting compliments on your hair is to style it without heat!

12 What is your hair length goal?
I'd love for my hair to reach my elbows, but my hair generally stops right about my bra strap. It says, "Nope, I ain't growing no more. You CAN'T MAKE ME. Naaaaaaaaah, nah, nah, nah, naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah." I have bratty hair.

I should be giving my wrists and hands a rest as I kinda wrecked them when I went kayaking on Sunday, but this was a little too good to pass up! I loved MissChievous' responses so here's mine.

QUESTIONS:
1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Oh geez, some of my palettes are limited edition, but at the same time, I really, really love all my lipglosses. I'm addicted to lipgloss. I think I'd rather lose the former as they're more replaceable though than my beloved palettes. It'd be really tragic and I'd have a meltdown, but I can replace them....over time.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Oh gosh. I love my hair long. If it meant I only had to chop it all off once, I'd chop my hair. My hair is a basketcase short (goes in weird directions, takes forever to style, et cetera), but I'd do it. I really despise split ends and they show very well on my fine hair so never being allowed to trim my hair is a horrifying thought. Short hair is the lesser of two evils here!

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Finally, an easy answer! Pink cheeks! That's what I wear every day.

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Clothes. We're not talking Kohls clothes either. Carson Pirie Scott clothes. Well made, tailored clothes. Probably buy those leather boots I've been eying. Leather lasts 10x longer than pleather.

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Oh geez, eyeliner as lipstick.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Sephora. I've never been to MAC. It's too far away from me.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
As much as it PAINS me, I'd choose one lip color for the rest of my life. A pinky color. I love pink lipglosses (which is odd as I despise the color pink.)

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Oh my gosh, I don't know. I wouldn't have this problem if I lived in Hawaii as it wouldn't matter, but it gets SO cold and dry where I live in winter and so hot and humid in summer it's hard to pick. How about I refuse to choose and will continue to wear my summer clothes in the summer and my winter clothes in the winter?

9.) Would you rather wear dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails. I mean, I'd rather have a mood picker upper I guess (although I so seriously love dark colors too!)

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Um, um, um, oh gosh, I don't know! Give up my Stila lip glazes or my Almay mascara? I'll give up the mascara. There's always Benefit.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?
Ponytail. That's how I wear it most of the time anyway!

12.) Would your rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Oh no! I love both to death! Have my nail biting problem back or............my lipgloss. My beautiful lipgloss. I love lipgloss! I'll pick *closes eyes* the lipgloss. It pains me though!

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?
I'll Sharpie them in! I know what having no eyebrows looks like! It's so weird!

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Oh geez, I couldn't live without either. Honestly. Nail polish kicked my biting habit. I guess I'd pick nail polish if I absolutely had to, but I'd be really sad!

blush or bronzer? Blush, generally. I'm not a bronzer person. They tend to make me look jaundiced. I finally found one that works on my very, very fair skin and I'm still figuring out how to use it without looking tranny.
lip gloss or lipstick? Lipgloss, lipgloss, lipgloss. I have loads of it.
eye liner or mascara? Oh gosh, that's hard. If I absolutely had to pick....eyeliner.
foundation or concealer? Concealer, definitely. You haven't seen my undereye circles.

neutral or color eye shadow? Why can't I have both? You can't make me choose!

Acrylic or Natural? Natural. Acrylics are usually done badly and look AWFUL.

C. Chore that you hate: Can I answer "all of them?" Okay, I actually don't mind vacuuming as long as I'm not dragging it up to my bedroom (which is why my room hasn't seen a vacuum in...4 months? My Dyson is HEAVY and my wrists give out taking it up the stairs. I need that digital one.) I really despise anything dealing with the bathroom and the words, "clean the refrigerator." Our fridge is notoriously disgusting...well, until I became in charge of the living room and the kitchen. Now I nag everyone about the fridge. OR, if I have to clean it, I get paid $25 extra on top of my paycheck. No, my parents don't like paying that one.
D. Dogs: I have a bit of an obsession for dogs (it's an Autistic thing, peeps) so it comes as no surprise that my family has had them for almost as long as I can remember. We have Zena, a Decker Rat Terrier (but, of course, you all knew that). I've owned in the past (in descending order) Kimo (a Jack Russel/Rat Terrier mix), Porsche (a rescued retired Greyhound), and Joseph (an adopted black Labrador Retriever). All of them, in some way, have acted like therapy dogs even though none were or are trained as therapy dogs. Porsche really stands out as she was the only one who was able to detect my seizures before my mom (which is a feat, mind you) and normally alerted my mom by a big Greyhound woof. She would them lie down next to me and lick me awake afterward. She was a big body pillow for me and a very kindred spirit. (Okay, I will NOT cry. WILL NOT CRY. I've been having a very bad I-miss-Porsche day.)
E. Essential start to your day: Taking my medicine and having a Coca-Cola. Some people have a cup of coffee; I have a can of Coca-Cola.

I can only eat about a tablespoon before I can't tolerate it anyway), potatoes, garlic (not alone!) and green pepper. That is just about it. I DON'T LIKE VEGGIES!
W. What makes you run late: Getting dressed, most of the time. That and Zena.
X. X-Rays you've had: Ha ha ha! I don't remember how many X-Rays I've had done. A lot. And I do mean A LOT. A lot of dental X-Rays (concerning my dental problems, yes, I've had a lot of them) and all of my problems as a kid, I've had a lot of them done. I have, on the other hand, only had two MRI's done! That has to say something you know. Don't even ask me about EKG's and EEG's. I've had more of those than I've had X-Rays. It comes with the territory of Epilepsy. You get a lot of those done.
Y. Yummy food that you make: Homemade chocolate chip cookies, traditional German spritz cookies (straight from the homeland. No Americanization people. No frosting or sprinkles or blah! I hate it when people Americanize spritz cookies!), a lot of cookies, beef stir-fry, garlic herbed chicken (I'm probably killing Alli with all the meat I'm listing, but those two are my daddy's favorite), seasoned salt pork chops, grilled cheese sandwiches, brownies (okay, I make them from a box, but still), Angel food cake, blueberry pancakes, crepes....oh and my caramel apple pie. My parents fight over that apple pie for the last pieces. It is unbelievable. Two grown people fighting over pie. It's disgusting sometimes!
Z. Zoo animal: Wolves, naturally. Followed by the seals and sea lions and the polar bears (at least, I had to see Klondike and Snow after the wolves when they were cubs and I lived in Colorado. EVERY week I saw Klondike & Snow. They were 10x cuter than Knut ever was.) and giraffes and elephants. Let's put it this way....I really like the zoo. I really like cute animals. I've had a giraffe lick me and that was really odd. They have really sticky (and LONG) tongues. I've also ridden an elephant which is majorly uncomfortable. I've had elephants take peanuts from me (which made me angry. I love my peanuts.) I've had many a zoo adventure.

Okay, I get a lot of questions how I manage to stay so skinny. While everyone here has probably never seen a photo of me, let's just say...I'm skinny. As in, really, really, skinny. 96 pounds of skinny, approximately (I might have gained a few pounds from the neurologist office last week).

To tell you the truth, I don't do much to stay skinny. I was born with a small frame, a fast metabolism and a small stomach. I pretty much graze all day long. The super picky appetite doesn't help things. However, I'll still write this all down so you still get the idea what I do.

Diet

Ha! Diet? What diet? Okay, I tend to eat rather healthy, believe it or not. I eat a lot of pasta and I have something dairy with nearly every meal; I eat meat about twice a week. My downfalls are vegetables, fruits...and my intake of Coca-Cola. I also tend to use salt a wee bit too much! Okay, and my eating junk food at night while reading, watching a movie, and/or doing my homework (but I do believe that you can indulge in a guilty pleasure so this doesn't really count). I like very few veggies and fruits and I don't eat them every day. I will binge on fruits in late spring and all through the summer (particularly pre-sliced Granny Smith apples). Come autumn, I don't want to see another fruit until April. I eat veggies *maybe* once a day, if at all. Veggies are sort of the bane of my existence. I'd rather eat paper before you get me near a carrot (ew, carrots).

Coca-Cola. Let's talk Coca-Cola. I love Coca-Cola. I've managed to get myself down to about four cans a day. Still, that's a lot of Coke. It's worse around midterms, finals or when I have a massive paper due. That's chain Coke drinking. I might drink ten cans then. I seem not to know what the word "water" means until bedtime. I admit, it's a problem. I have to admit though, Coke tastes reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally good.

I eat whenever I'm hungry. In other words, I graze like a giraffe. I do eat meals, but it's normally "brunch" and "dinner." There's no breakfast. I'm not up early enough for breakfast. Breakfast also does nasty, NASTY things to my digestive system. It's not fun.

Exercise

Okay, okay, I must admit, I am not the non-traditional exerciser for the most part. Why? I pace. I'm a long time pacer. I can't help it. Since I'm a chronic insomniac, I have to find something to do at night. Whilst listening to music, I pace. All over my room. Seriously. I would probably win the gold pedal in the Pacing Olympics, if one existed. I try not to pace too hard or too much as my knees are messed up and I have Cerebral Palsy in my legs, but I do pace an awful lot.

I have really, really bad knees from being super clumsy (and having a run-in with a hockey puck and a fence...long story about the fence). I also have spastic Cerebral Palsy in my legs and weak wrists. I also happen to have unpredictable bronchial Asthma and Epilepsy which narrows my exercise fields. My idea of "real" exercise is walking, especially walking my dog when it's warmer out. I do super, super simply yoga when I start to feel stressed out. I do a lot of stretching to keep the muscles in my legs as loose a possible so I don't end up in surgery for the Cerebral Palsy. The idea of another surgery creeps me out.

I do what most people call "real" exercise in summer as it's just way too cold here in winter (no motivation, I tell you. NONE). I walk Zena--and sometimes her pal Ally--when it's really nice out as most people get to read on here. OnDemand's Exercise TV is a god send to me. I do Cindy Whitford's 15 Minute Ab Workout and the lower body one on there. As much as I hate Kim Kardashian the person, her ab workout is amazing, even though it's hard the first two times. Exercise TV is a godsend because if I buy a workout DVD, I never seem to use it. I don't know what it is, but if it's onDemand, I'll use it; if I buy it, I won't.

Supplements

I'm the queen here. I take a lot of supplements. Well, not a lot. I take four. I don't get everything I need in order to live from my super picky diet!

-Vitamin B Complex: This is to even out my energy levels since mine used to go between extremes! This also is used for my not-so-great immune system.

-Vitamin C: For the not-so-great immune system. If I go a week without taking my C, I almost ALWAYS get sick. I just have a really crappy immune system.

-Multi-vitamin: For everything the above don't cover.

-50,000 IU of Vitamin D: Yes, you're reading the right dosage. I take it once a week. This thing multitasks. Boosts immune system, reduces migraines and helps with seasonal affective disorder are just a few benefits of Vitamin D.

Sometimes.

2. A big poofy dress of a short party dress?
Short (right above the knee) party dress. When you're 5'2", poofy can make any 22-year-old look 2. Not a pretty look.

3. What would you do if you received a long love letter?
Read it. Cringe if it's overly sappy. Gag if it's overly mushy and overly cutesy. I am not the one who likes to receive really long, really sappy, cutesy, mushy love letters. It just makes me cringe. Don't you dare call me "sweetie pie" either; that's an instant word to make me gag and it's pretty insulting. I'd be seriously insulted if you only used my name in the "Dear" part and gave me cutesy names for the rest of the letter. I do have a name. I LIKE my name. I don't like my name being replaced with an object. If you really, really respect and love me, you'd use my name for the majority of that letter. I just start twitching when I notice that my name--which, by the way, is part of my identity--is replaced with words like "sweetheart" and "honey" and "love." It's one of those things that ticks off the feminist in me.

4. Group dates or single dates?
Single dates. Group dates tend to overwhelm me. I'd rather get to know you, not your friends.

5. Do you hate it when guys act different when around their friends?
Yes. Honestly, if I see you're a jerk with your friends yet you're sweet as pie to me, there's something wrong with that situation. I'm not saying I want you to do all the things men do to communicate (slap each other on the back, play fight verbally), but your personality should be the same. It's the same thing when I come to meet your parents and you come to meet mine; it's fine to be nervous, but don't completely change your personality. No, but I should get a manicure sometime and have them shaped. I can't shape my nails for the life of me. I have three square nails and two squoval nails because that's how my nails grow naturally. Can't I just have square nails PLEASE????? The different shapes drive me nuts!

Medium purses. I need a bag that'll hold all my medicine and crap, but is small enough not to take up much room. Satchels like this one seem to be the best option.

JEANS!!! Unless it's summer and like 95 degrees Fahrenheit with 90% humidity. Then, I want my skirts.

Uh, no. I'm not that kind of girl who sacrifices comfort for fashion. I can be comfortable and fashionable at the same time.

In Basic Algebra, trying to get as many of the questions on my study guide for my final answered by the teacher so I didn't have to do it all. I didn't work. 75 problems of pure, heinous, torture.

I don't have one. I don't actually trust men easily, actually.

3. Have you ever eaten a crayon?
Yes, a red one apparently. I had to ask my mom. I did a lot of strange things as a child, so I normally ask my mom (especially if it sounds weird like eating a crayon).

Yes.

5. When was the last time you went to the mall?
Um, gee, when was that? Beginning of November? I had to take back a shirt to TJ Maxx, but I don't remember when that was.

YES. The conditions at my house are Antarctic; it's 16 degrees Fahrenheit (that's -9 degrees Celsius). Anyone who knows me knows that is just way too cold for my warm-weathered needs.

No, I don't have a car. My dad owns the only car and I'm forbidden from driving it.

No, I stay as far away from the cinema as possible. Crowds and me just don't mix.

It totally should have been Lysacek) and then I had to watch Jennifer Grey kick everyone else's butt in the previous one (redemption!). Somehow, I've gotten sucked into the spin-off Skating with the Stars, probably because my favorite Winter Olympic sport is figure skating....even though I'm not fond of pair skating. It's hilarious to watch the celebrities trip over themselves on the ice doing something as simple as gliding on the ice. Trust me, I skated for a year; if there was one thing that you can't screw up, it's gliding. You just...glide. It's so easy, yet the celebrities can't figure this concept out. Glide, people, glide!!! (CCee is probably dying from laughter by now. I need to end my gliding rant)

19. Your favorite animal?
Land Animal--Wolves with jaguars/leopards/cheetahs (it's a three way tie. I can't pick) trailing behind them.

Sea Animal (one that stays in the water 24/7)--It's a tie between orcas and bottlenose dolphins. If I had to pick, I'd be a bottlenose; they live in warm waters (I love heat; hate the cold!). Orcas stay in Arctic waters mainly (brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr).

Sea Animal (one that divides time between land and sea)--Sea otters! Have you seen their faces? They're adorable.

Amphibian/Reptile/Fish--Turtles, particularly sea turtles. I find baby and adult sea turtles cute.

Domesticated Animals--Um, I think it would be obvious, right? DOGS. I do rather dislike most spaniels and Chihuahuas though. I don't hate them, I just don't find them as cute as, say, a Greyhound (which I've owned) or a Scottish Terrier. I tend to love dogs that are more "manly," as most girls would put it. I'm not fond of toy breeds; they just....yip and annoy me half to death. I'd probably kill them too as I'm too clumsy for something under 20 pounds. Give me a sturdy breed!

20. Your dream vacation?
At the moment? Australia; they're experiencing summer. Summer = heat. I. Want. HOT. WEATHER!!! Not extraordinarily hot, but whoever said this is the "happiest season of all" needs to visit a psychiatrist. All I want is for summer to come and quickly!

Um, my own?

22. Worst injury you ever had?
I've sprained my ankle. Hyper-extended both wrists numerous times. Strained both wrists numerous times. Bruised my hand and my ankle down to bone. Jammed my fingers. Gone around limping for a few days from falling down the stairs. It's your pick. I've never fractured or broken a bone and I've never had a concussion (this being incredibly odd as I'm Epileptic and I've hit my head more times than I can count).

My dogs that have passed away, particularly my Greyhound, Porsche.

I think so.

Me? Just me? I'm dirt poor, money wise. I'm a student, plus I don't work. I work for my parents by keeping the house clean! I'm rich in terms of values though.

Typing my paper on the computer! I hated every last second of typing that paper. I was done typing papers after the 12-page horror that was Monday's paper.

I figured I'd do this one since there's been a huge change from the last one that's buried somewhere in this blog. My skin and hair has decided to go berserk.

Shampoo: Neutrogena Clean Volume Shampoo everyday; once a week I use Neutrogena Anti-Residue Cleansing Shampoo to get all the build up out of my hair. Why? My hair is super, super, super oily. As in, I go ONE day without shampooing and you can wring out oil out of my hair. I swear OPEC could use my hair as an oil refinery.

Conditioner: Neutrogena Clean Moisture Conditioner every day; Aussie 3-minute Deeeep conditioner once a month. Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner to get out tangles after I wash my hair. Writing this all out makes me sound insane.

Styling products: I use styling products? I never style my hair really. I usually pull a brush through my hair and call it a day. BUT, if you must know, if I do feel like using my hair dryer (which is seriously NEVER), I do use Paul Mitchell's Smooth serum and Suave extra-strength hair spray. Sometimes I have to use John Frieda's Frizz-ease Secret Weapon on a bad hair day, but that's rare. I normally just pull my hair in a pony tail. I think I have a Garnier curling mousse too that I never use because my fine straight hair refuses to curl so I've given up on trying to obtain those pretty curls every one else can get EXCEPT ME.

Note: Well, for something that was supposed to be a short answer, that turned out to be rather long. Oops.
